About Promethean Engineering
In Greek mythology, Prometheus is one of the Titans and the God of fire. He defined the Olympian gods by taking fire from them and giving it to humanity in the form of knowledge and technology.
Promethean Engineering have taken much inspiration from the myth of Prometheus in our distant past and now have two clear objectives for the future;
1 - Share knowledge of project management best practices to Engineering companies so that they can become more efficient and more consistent in their approaches.
2 - Learn and share valued insights into clean technology and environmental issues with a larger audience. This will hopefully inspire others to become involved with Environmental Engineering and create critical discussion on the best paths ahead to make the world a greener place.
Meet the Team
Promethean Engineering has been started by and operated by Matthew Clixby. Matthew is an Environmental Engineer and an advocate of a sustainable greener future for all to enjoy.
A water industry professional with 20 years experience of project delivery and technical sales of wastewater treatment, anaerobic digestion, water treatment and reuse technologies. Possesses a deep-rooted commitment to sustainability, the circular economy, and addressing environmental challenges.
A proficient Waterfall Project Manager with extensive experience of all project phases from front-end sales to operation, including feasibility studies, commercial modelling, contract preparation, detail design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. Recognized for strong technical design coordination, commercial management skills, and the ability to cultivate enduring client relationships. Experience of working for clients, consultants, Design & Build EPC contractors and technology providers. Solid technical understanding of all engineering disciplines that are required to input into water or process engineering type projects and technology.
Matthew has a BEng in Civil Engineering, a MSc in Environmental Engineering & Project Management and has successfully set up a Project Management Office (PMO) before at a SME water technology contractor.
